儒佛道三教关系与中国佛教的发展

外来佛教在中国的传播与发展,始终与中国固有的以儒道为代表的思想文化处在相互冲突和相互融合的复杂关系之中。正是在三教的冲突和融合中佛教不断得到发展,而中国佛教发展的历史其实也是一部三教关系史。中国思想文化经过数千年的递嬗演变最终形成了以儒家为主、以佛道为辅的“三教合一”的基本格局。从三教关系中来透视中国佛教发展的历史,有助于我们更好地把握中国佛教乃至整个中国思想文化的特点。

Relations Among Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism,and the Development of Chinese Buddhism

The spread and development of the alien Buddhism in China have always been in bothconflict and compromise with the Chinese thinking and culture headed by Confucianism and Taoism. It is the conflict and compromise that promoted the growth of Buddhism, and the history of Chinese Buddhism, in essence, has been one of the relations among the three doctrines. Chinese thinking and culture, tempered by thousands of years of change, have formed the pattern of "three doctrines in one", with Confucianism at the center and Buddhism and Taoism in company. Studying the history of Chinese Buddhism via the relations among the three doctrines reveal contributes to our understanding of the features of Chinese Buddhism and even Chinese thinking and culture as a whole.
