| Abstract: | So far there has not been such a discipline as linguistics which cannot offer a conclusive definition of its subject. Language has three qualities, i.e., social fact, psychological expression and the semiotic system that combines sound and significance. Without the three-dimensional reference to language it is impossible to deduce the characteristic and essential nature of language as the subject of linguistics. |
