论庄子哲学中的"真"

“真”这个字在现存《庄子》之前的古籍中几乎找不到。“真”作为哲学概念的提出,是庄子的一大贡献。“真”概念的出现,反映了“哲学突破”时代中国哲人对当时人类文明成果的怀疑与反思,表达了他们试图突破自身有限性而指向超越之域的精神诉求。庄子对于“真”的探求和理解,通过“真人”、“真知”、“真性”等富于意象性特征的概念得到了具体的表述。

The Concept "Zhen" in Zhuang Zi's Philosophy

The character "zhen" (true or real) had almost never appeared in any text before Zhuang Zi . It is a major contribution of Zhuang Zi to Chinese philosophy to raise "zhen" as a philosophical concept. It expressed his suspicion and speculation on human civilization as it had been achieved at that time, and expressed a spiritual pursuit by the Chinese philosophers of the era of "philosophic breakthroughs", to transcend their own limitations. Zhuang Zi s exploration and understanding of "zhen" were explicated with the imagery concepts of "zhen ren (true man)", "zhen zhi (true knowledge)", "zhen xing (true nature)", and so forth.
