Rationalism and Incrementalism in Policy-Making Theory:Features and Applicability

Both rationalism and incrementalism are major root models in policy making theory. The critiques,arguments and controversies about the feasibility and applicability of these two models resulted in the production of various policy making models and also promoted the continuing amendment of the former. In order to better understand these two models so as to give them full play in proper circumstances and to further improve our policy making model and policy making quality, it is essential to cross examine the main features and their relations, and to explore their applicability as well.
