英语学习动机与学习策略的调查研究

文章通过对太原理工大学两个班(英语专业及非英语专业各一个班)的60名学生进行问卷调查,分析研究了学习动机、学习策略及两者的内在联系。研究结果表明:(1)英专学生具有较强的归附型动机,非英专学生在学习英语时工具型动机表现得更强;(2)英专学生更多地使用学习策略,尤其是元认知策略、社交策略和情感策略。而非英专学生使用学习策略的频率明显偏低;(3)英语学习动机与策略之间确实存在一定关系,归附型动机更有可能导致学习策略的多样化。

Research on the Relationship between English Learning Motivation and Strategies

This article reports a study on English learning motivation,learning strategies and the relationship between them. The subjectsfor the survey are 60 students in Taiyuan University of Technology(30 English majors and 30 non-English majors). Statistical results show that English majors have stronger integrative motivation, whereas non-English majors hold stronger instrumental motivation. As for strategy use, English majors make more frequent use of metacognitive, affective and social strategy than non-English majors. A clear correlation is also found between learning motivation and learning strategy choice.
