洋务教育与中国教育的近代化

洋务教育是洋务运动的重要内容，它由兴办外国语学堂、学习外国语言文字为开端，而后发展到创办新式实业学堂，学习外国先进科技、军事技术，再到派人出国留学，以便更接、更迅速地掌握先进技术，洋务教育事业的兴办，首次改革了中国传统的教育体制，培养了一批新型人才，客观上为中国传统教育向近代新式教育的转化作出了贡献。
