Building a New Teacher-Student Relationship in Colleges and Universities on a Constructivist Basis

The features of informationization and popularization of higher education call for an equal, democratic and friendly relationship between teachers and students in colleges and universities. This new type of relationship should be based on new outlook on knowledge and learning which denies authority. The constructivist learning theory will contribute to transition of people's conceptions, creation of institutional safeguard mechanisms, enhancement of teachers' personality charm and revision of students' attitude toward teachers in the process of establishing such a relationship.
