| 摘 要： | 《元史新编》是继《圣武记》、《海国图志》之后，魏源自觉把对西北边疆史地的研究与反侵略斗争联系起来的又一重要成果。该著的问世，有着鲜明的时代性，其编撰思想中强烈的近代“经世”意识、体例创新的可贵探索、寓褒贬于“求真”的“春秋”笔法及自觉探求社会历史发展大势以突出元代社会特点的努力，从历史编撰的层面为传统史学注入近代的内容。
