In the study of multinational direct investment,reasons for foreign investment are the emphases of the research into international direct investment.The foreign capital policy of the host country changes with study conclusion made by scholars' research into the influence and effect of international direct investment on the host country.The evolvement of the host country's foreign capital policy mainly experiences three stages: inspiring favorable policy,investment promoting policy and industry relevancy emphasizing policy.Research shows that the host country executing FDI input policy consistent with export promotion trade policy is successful in utilizing foreign capital while those executing FDI consistent with import replacement get little benefit in FDI.
