试论我国古代婚俗中的“陪房”现象

所谓陪房就是旧社会随同主子姑娘出嫁到婆家的男女仆人,他们是主子姑娘嫁妆中的一部分,因此也可以说是主子姑娘的一种特殊陪嫁品。陪房是我国古代一种十分重要的婚俗现象,这种以人作为陪嫁品的习俗,其实也是整个人类不平等社会婚姻习俗中的一个共同现象。我们在文章中主要考察了这种陪嫁习俗在我国的发生、发展和消亡的过程以及它的本质。

On Phenomenon“Man（or Maid）Servant”in Ancient Chinese Customs of Marriage

Man（or maid）servant is the man or woman servant that follows the bride to her husband＇s home in the old days.He or she is a part of the bride＇s trousseaus,and hence is also a special dowry.This idiom taking human beings as dowry is not only an important custom of marriage but also in fact a common phenomenon of the unequal social customs of marriage of the whole humankind.This thesis deals with the nature of this practice and the course of this practice‘s occurrence,development and disappearance in our country.
