龚自珍、魏源人才思想研究

龚自珍、魏源是中国近代史上最早关注人才问题的先驱。龚魏在强调人才重要性的同时,就近代经世人才的培养提出了明确而又深刻的建议。但龚自珍以"仿古"、"救今"为其人才思想的出发点,企求"天降人才"而无切实具体的实施方案;魏源则以"变古"、"便民"为其人才思想的核心,把师夷人才的培养作为强国御侮的关健,倡导逆境亦能成才,以知人善用的具体主张,提出了合理使用人才的可行措施,使中国古代的人才理论走向近代化,他的人才思想在近代中国具有启端发韧的历史地位。

A Study of Thoughts of Talents of Gongzizhen and Weiyuan

Gongzizhen and Weiyuan were the earliest pioneers to show concern for the issue of talents in modern China. While Gongzizhen and Weiyuan emphasized the importance of talents, they also made a lot of definite and profound proposals for the nurture of useful modern talents. Gongzizhen proceeded from "modelling after ancients" and "national salvation" and hoped to"get talents from Heaven" with no practical and specific plan, while Weiyuan took "reforming ancients" and "convenience of people" as the core of his thought of talents and the nurture of talents who could learn from foreign countries as the key to strengthen his motherland and resist foreign invasion. Weiyuan held that people could become talents even in adversity and proposed practical measures and definite plans as to how to seek gifted people and make good use of them. He also put forward many practical measures for the use of talents. Weiyuan's thoughts of talents modernized the talents theory of ancient China and enjoyed initiative place in modern Chinese history.
