论英语日常话语的创造性及其解码

本文从跨文化交际的角度对英语日常话语的创造性进行了探讨 ,指出话语的创造性从语义学的角度看表现为语义密度的增大 ;对英语日常话语的解码应同时包括自下而上和自上而下两个信息处理过程。本文认为 ,对英语日常话语的创造性的解码本质上是对其语用涵义的解码 ,而对其语用涵义的解码很大程度上归结为对其相关文化背景知识 ,尤其是对其文化所指意义的解码。

Creativity and Decoding of Spoken English Discourse

This paper aims to probe into the creativity of spoken English discourse (SED) from the perspective of cross cultural communication. It points out that the creativity is implicit in greater semantic density of SED and that the decoding of SED includes simultaneous bottom up and top down processing of relative information. In the end, this paper draws a conclusion as such: the decoding of SED, which in nature means making clear the addresser's pragmatic meaning, depends greatly on the addressee's knowledge of background information, especially cultural reference involved.
