| Abstract: | The government's Guideline for China's Automobile Industry issued in 1994 sets the target of developing China's automobile industry into one of t he major industries of this country by the year 2010. Over the past five years t he industry has developed to some extent and its structure has simultaneously be en improved; however, the achievements are far from adequate. A close analysis o f the experience of Japan's rationalization of the structure of its post-war aut omobile industry is beneficial for designing the target, steps and form of the r ationalization of the structure of China's automobile industry. |
