中国传统尊老文化的社会成因及特点评析

中国传统文化中的尊老文化在世界文化发展中占有突出的地位。从政治上说,历代统治阶级出于巩固政权的需要,把家庭的孝与对君主的忠结合起来,并把这种政治上的需要贯彻到具体的尊老活动和制度中。中国丰富的传统伦理文化直接促成了尊老文化。尊老文化中有较多的合理成分,也包含某些不科学、不文明的成分。应正确区分我国尊老文化传统内容中的精华与糟粕。

Social background for and characteristics of Chinese tradition of respecting the elderly

Chinese tradition of respecting the elderly has an important place in the development of world cultures.In order to consolidate their political power,it was necessary for Chinese feudal ruling classes to combine the filial piety with the loyalty to monarchs,and to carry out this thought in practical activities and the establishment of relevant systems.On the other hand,Chinese traditional ethics also contributed to this practice. In contrast to the western history,this paper makes an analysis of the Chinese tradition from the respects of social economy,politics and ideolgy.The conclusion is that we should adhere to the essence and give up the dross in the research of Chinese traditional culture.
