艺术程式解析

An analysis of art convention

Art convention is canonical technique and form which are presented in the process of artistic activity,involving the three essentials of criterion,standardization and aesthetics.Due to different ways of thinking,Chinese and Western art conventions differ greatly from each other.Chinese art focuses on idealized imagery characterized by pure techniques and abstract forms while the Western art has a scientific inclination which gives priority to the natural reproduction of life.Art convention is not only the conclusion of artistic practice carrying historical and cultural connotation,but also the starting point of artists' recreation and has a profound relationship with artistic innovation.Standardization,plasticity and exclusion are the three major characteristics of art convention,among which exclusion indicates the value of art convention,and becomes a most important factor for prescribing the essence of artistic creation.
