词汇的文化伴随意义

从语言的结构规则看,词汇是语言的基本要素,也是语言这个庞大系统赖以生存的支柱。从语言的社会功能角度看,文化差异在词汇层面上往往显得最为突出,涉及面也最为广泛。试图从跨文化交际学的角度出发,从比较中英词汇的文化内涵入手,通过对比,反映出语言与文化的关系;且对词汇文化教学进行了探索。

Word Meaning and Interculture Communication

Lexis is the fundamental pillar that supports the huge system of a language. From the viewpoint of social functions of a language, cultural distinctions are most prominent and widely-spread at lexical levels. In this paper, the authors will make a contrastive study of some culturally-loaded words and expressions in English and Chinese on the basis of intercultural communication. The main emphasis has been laid on the perception of some culturally-loaded words which differ in word meaning association and culture images as well as finer distinctions in semantic meanings and word connotations in intercultural communication.
