易经》早期译介者既有传教士如利玛窦、金尼阁和白晋等， 也有非传教士人物莱布尼茨。莱布尼茨认为《易经》的六十四卦图类似 于他所发现的算术二进制，尽管二者其实并不是一回事，但在传播目的 和策略上却跟其他传教士一脉相承。《易经》在西方的早期传播，客观 上影响和改变了西方人对东方的看法，以《易经》为代表的儒家思想也 开始在欧洲生根发芽。

A Brief Critical History of Early Spread of the Yijing in Europe

The early translators of the Yijing were both missionaries, such as Matteo Ricci, Nicolas Trigault and Joachim Bouvet, and the non missionaries such as Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Leibniz holds that the sixty four hexagrams of the Yijing were similar to the arithmetic binary, although the two were not all the same. The point is that his strategy in doing so came down from the same tradition as the missionaries. Fairly speaking, the early spread of the Yijing in the West has objectively influenced and changed the Western view of the East, and thereafter Confucianism, with the Yijing as the representative, has begun to take root in Europe.
