肇庆八音班考略

和肇庆的历史一样古老的民俗共生的八音班，约产生于清中叶。它综合了众多的民间音乐艺术的精华，虽然它与民间曲艺有些相似的特征，但归入民间器乐乐种更为恰当。自从它产生以来，就与民间节庆风俗、信仰风俗、人生礼俗等民俗活动相随。正是良好的文化生态环境，使它在没有任何外来的经济支持的情况下，顽强地生存了下来。以唢呐为主奏乐器的吹打音乐体现了它独特的音乐文化价值，围绕民俗为当地人提供的服务中体现了它的社会价值。
