转基因作物环境风险争论综述

A Summary on the Debates of Environmental Risks of Genetically Modified Crops

Scientists have different opinions on environmental risks of genetically modified crops. One opinion is that the genetically modified crops have no more risks than traditional crops. Another opinion is that genetically modified crops have environmental risks which are potential and cannot be ignored. Scientists also have different attitudes on whether or not genetieally modified crops will produce super-weeds and super pests, destroy biological diversity and cause secondary ecological impacts. Because of the contradictions between the limited knowledge of genetically modi fled crops, the complexity of ecology environment and the novelty of GM- technology, scientist have not yet reached an affirmative conclusion on environmental risks of genetically modified crops.
