| Abstract: | Written in the Pre-Qin Period,＂ Kao Gong Ji＂ is one of the masterpieces of science and technology on the principles of craft production, containing much aesthetics of mechanical design. The paper discusses some of its viewpoints such as ＇ constructing according to concrete ＇ , ＇ unity of pragmatism and beauty, ＇ ＇ favourable timing, place , material and craftsmanship ＇ , ＇ form and content＇ and so on. |
