| 摘 要： | ＂现代性＂一词在吉登斯看来是指大约从17世纪的欧洲起源的一种社会生活或组织模式,具有断裂性、全球化、双重性等特点。他独创的将四个制度性维度——资本主义、工业主义、监督与军事力量贯穿在全球化与现代性的构想之中,并且进一步探讨了隐藏在制度之维背后的动力来源,给人们在理解现代性理论上以启发。

| Abstract: | Anthony Giddens held that ＂modernity＂,originated in the 17thcentury Europe,is a pattern of social lives or organization,which is characterized by discontinuities,globalization,and duality.He innovatively combined institutional dimensions—capitalism,industrialism,supervision and military power—with globalization and conception of modernity.Furthermore,he discussed the motivation behind institutional dimensions,an inspiration for people to comprehend the theory of modernity. |
