The Milestone in the Phylogeny of Public Administration--Theories of New Public Administration as Viewed from Historical Perspective

The 60s and 70s of the 20th century witnessed significant changes in public administration marked by the new public administration movement in U. S. Within the context of social upheaval and civil distrust of the government, a group of young scholars who were devoted to the study of public administration started to rethink critically the development of new public administration. This movement has exerted great influence on thoughts concerning public administration, resulting in new ideas such as theory of democratic administration, new public management movement and reinventing government movement.
