| 摘 要： | 库柏在他的代表作《皮裹腿故事集》中记录了北美殖民开拓时期错综复杂的矛盾和冲突，为后来的美国文学开辟了一个宽广的本土特色领域。从边疆的拓荒史、殖民斗争史和印第安人衰亡史这三个方面深入剖析了这一特定时期美国社会发展的史诗性画卷。

| Abstract: | In his masterpiece The Leatherstocking Tales,James Fenimore Cooper recorded the complicated contradictions and conflicts in the northern American colonization,which exploited a broad field of native topics in American literature history.This thesis has analyzed the epic picture of the U.S.frontier development,the history of colonial struggling and decline and fall of American Indians. |
