经济学认为经济人的经济行动在于追求自己利益的最大化,经济行动是原子化的个人行动,不涉及任何社会关系。新经济社会学从嵌入性的视角出发,对人的经济行动加以解释,指出人的经济行动是理性的,但理性的经济行动是受社会关系制约的,经济行动是一种社会行动,经济行动嵌入于社会关系中并产生了经济秩序。

The Social Construction of Economic Behavior--An Embedded Analysis from New Economic Sociology

According to economics, the purpose of the economic person's behavior is to pursue his biggest profits. It simply belongs to the individual action and has nothing with his social connections. But new economic sociology, from the perspective of embeddedness, gives an explanation to the economic person's behavior and maintains that the economic behavior is rational but restricted by social connections. As a social action, the economic behavior is embedded into social connections, thus producing economic orders.
