| 摘 要： | 本文提到了英汉成语的难译之因 ,探讨了直译、意译、编译等的辩证法。直译有“直”的优劣 ,意译有“不信”之嫌 ,而编译又有“漏”的必然。由此笔者倡导 :译文因人而异、因文而异 ,意境决定译法和译文。

| Abstract: | Factors contributing to the difficulties in E C C E idiom translation are discussed. The methods such as word for word, free rendition, and editing are analyzed from a dialectic perspective. In view of each method may be blemished with its shortcomings such as over literal, unfaithful, or omitted treatments, the author advocates varying the versions and methods to suit translators or readers, original versions, and most importantly, occasions. |
