语篇翻译与文化语境规约

基于语篇语言学研究成果的语篇翻译,为翻译研究提供了一个崭新的视角。语篇翻译不再拘泥于语言形式,而是把视野扩大到语篇的语境因素。在翻译过程中,译者除了要考虑原文和译文两种语言体系外,还要考虑到涉及语言体系之外的各种制约因素,其中包括文化语境。由于语篇脱胎于文化语境,因此,文化语境对语篇翻译的规约作用与语篇翻译的全过程同在。

Text Translation and Cultural Context Restrictions

Based on the findings of text linguistics,text translation has provided a new perspective for the translation study.It no longer confines itself to the study of language as a system of structures,but rather relates to the context in which it occurs.A translator has to take into consideration not only the source language and the target language systems,but also other constraining factors,including cultural contexts.Since text is the product of cultural context,it comes to the conclusion that cultural context restrictions on text translation are indispensable in the process of translation.
