| Abstract: | Linguistics and philosophy are two closely-related subjects. Language is the core and carrier of the philosophical thought and the important object of philosophical study. Different language schools have different philosophical bases. This thesis looks back on the developing process of linguistics and discusses the relationship of philosophical thought and linguistic studies from the point of view of historical development, traces back to the philosopihical origin of several linguistics schools, and points out their own philosophical attributes. |
