| 摘 要： | 在李鸿章主持下,近代中国第一家新式矿业企业湖北开采煤铁总局于1875年创办。总局经营过程中,大冶铁矿被意外发现。被大冶铁矿优越的开采条件所吸引,总局洋矿师郭师敦提出近代中国第一份炼铁厂建设计划。对此计划,总局督办盛宣怀经历了从犹豫到极力赞同的思想转变过程。但是,该计划最终没有得到李鸿章的支持,因而流产。总局炼铁计划的夭折是中国钢铁工业建设史上一次重大损失。

| Abstract: | Hupeh Coal and Iron Corporation,the first new-type mining enterprise in modern China,was founded in 1875 with the support of Li Hongzhang.In the course of business operation,Daye ore was discovered accidentally.Attracted by the excellent mining conditions,Andrew White Crookston,the mining engineer of the Corporation,draw up the first iron-making plant plan in modern China,towards which the attitude of Sheng Xuanhuai,the Corporation Supervisor,changed from hesitation to strong praise.Yet,as the plan failed to win the favor of Li Hongzhang,it aborted at last.The miscarriage of this plan is a serious loss for the construction of China＇s iron and steel industry. |
