高校外语教师在教学中运用情感因素的现状调查

摘    要:本研究按地区随机调查了28所高校的201名外语教师在教学中运用情感因素的现状。结果表明,虽然教师对以情优教的必要性已形成共识,但在实际教学过程中,重知轻情的现象十分普遍,其原因主要是应试教育压力和缺乏方法上的指导及对情感因素作用的片面理解。不同性别、不同年龄段、不同授课类型、不同学校类型的老师在这方面存在的问题基本一致,无显著差异。

Abstract:Based on the data collected from a survey of 201 foreign language teachers in 28 universities in China,this article presents an empirical study of how much attention is given to affect in language teaching.The analysis indicates that although teachers typically claim an attention to affect in teaching,most of the surveyed have failed to implement in practice what they believe.The reasons can be summarized as:(1) the dominance of an exam-oriented ideology;(2) lack of technical guidance for effective application of affect in teaching;(3) a common misunderstanding of the roles of affective factors in language teaching.The article also suggests that the above failure is a universal phenomenon among language teachers in China regardless of their gender or age,courses taught,or status of institutions served.
