| 摘 要： | 清末留学热潮兴起,缘于“师夷之长技”之深化。留学问题的提出、有关制度的建立,回国后的任用都是清廷在“中体西用”指导下的社会重大变革。作为晚清社会政治近代化的构成,留学活动无疑对此期政局影响甚大。留学生群体成为晚清最为重要的社会变数,也是辛亥革命何以发生及怎样发生的主要因素。

| Abstract: | The surge of studying abroad at the end of Qing Dynasty resulted from the popularized thought of learning foreign advanced technologies. Guided by the principle of absorbing western system into China, Qing Dynasty made a great social reform to send students to study abroad, to establish correspondent policies, and to appoint returned students. The movement of studying abroad brought about the social and political modernization of late Qing Dynasty. Undoubtedly, it had a great influence on the political situation within that period. And that is why and how the Revolution of 1911 took place, (the Revolution of 1911 is the Chinese bourgeois democratic revolution led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen which overthrew the Qing Dynasty) |
