岳麓书院屈子祠的创建及其文化意义

清嘉庆年间 ,岳麓书院创建屈子祠 ,改变省城无屈原专祠的局面 ,使“湖南乃屈贾之乡”得以名实相符。此举的文化意义有二。一是将湖湘忠诤爱国的优良传统由北宋上溯于楚国与西汉。二是将岳麓学术由朱熹、张木式向上溯于周敦颐 ,最终确立了湖南学术道统

The Establishment of Quzi Temple in Yuelu Academy and Cultural Significances

During the reign of Emperor Jiaqing in the Qing dynasty,Quzi Memorial Temple was founded in Yuelu Academy, which ended the time when there was no Quzi Temple in the capital city of Hunan Province to memorize Qu Yuan,the famous patriotic poet, and conformed to the saying that "Hunan is the hometown of both Qu Yuan and Jia Yi". It has two cultural significances.On the one hand, the patriotic tradition of Hunan people can then be traced back to Chu State and West Han. On the other hand, the Yuelu academic activities can be traced from Zhu Xi and Zhang Shi back to Zhou Dunyi, thus establishing the Hunan academic tradition.
