关帝信仰与道德崇拜

关帝信仰是中国特有的民间信仰。这种民间信仰的实质是对关羽身上所体现的“忠、义、礼、节、勇”的道德规范的崇拜。它是一种被历史上统治阶级标准化了的儒家伦理规范。关帝信仰由民众自发信仰被纳入统治阶级的意识形态之内,既说明了民间信仰的可利用性,也反映了当时统治阶级所面临的深刻政治危机。

Belief in Guan- God and Worship of Morality

The belief in Guan-God is a peculiar Chinese folk-belief. The folk-belief is worship of legal, justice, manners, moral integrity and bravery embodied by Guan Yu in essence. It is the Confucian code of ethics standardized by the ruling class in history. The belief in Guan-God was brought from the spontaneous folk belief into ruling class ideology, that showed not only the exploitation of the folk-belief, but also the deep political crisis faced with by the ruling class at once.
