《易经》英译风格探微

通过译文的比较分析 ,认为贝恩斯的译本比理雅各的在表现文学风格的手法上进了一步 ,颇具诗韵。但是 ,两个译本均远未达到保留原作风格的理想境界 ,尤其是未能传达神秘深邃的深层含义 ,因此丧失了诸多学科的研究价值。故翻译《易经》所面临的特殊困难应由文、理学者合作 ,综合运用阐译、注释及其他多种译法才能解决

A Probe into the Style of I Ching English Translation

The thesis illustrates the lexical, syntactical and symbolic characteristics and profound implications that constitute the style of I Ching.Cary F.Baynes' translation surpasses that of James Legge in literary style with its poetic linguistic characteristics. However, the two versions suffer from loss of style to a great extent. Both have been unable to probe into and to express implication of I Ching through translation. This results in the loss of translation function and consequent loss of cross field research value. The problem should be solved with the cooperative efforts of scholars of both natural science and social science, using various translation skills.
