摘    要:经世致用之所以是近代湖湘文化的特点 ,一是因为它的始终一贯 ,即使在汉学盛行时 ,也未中断 ;二是在近代中国提倡最早 ;三是有理论、有纲领。近代湖南经世致用的学派有三个 :一是以陶澍、曾国藩为代表的理学经世派 ,二是以魏源、王运为代表的今文经学派 ,三是以谭嗣同、唐才常为代表的永嘉功利之学。这种经世致用的学风既有积极意义 ,也有消极因素

Abstract:The studies on the art of government were the characteristics of modern Huxiang Culture, the reasons were three points as follows:1)Because they had been all the same from beginning to end, even in the prevailing times of the Han school of classical philology, they never been discontinued;2)They had been advocated earliest in modern China;3)They had a series of theories and programs. There are three schools related to the studies on the art of government in modern Hunan as follows:1)The school of rationalism concerning application, of which representative figures were Tao Shu and Zong Guofang; 2)The school of the modern Chinese classics, of which representative figures were Wei Yuan and Wang Kaiyun; 3)The Yong Jia school of utility-seeking, of which representative figures were Tan Sitong and Tang Caichang. The style of studies for governance and application had both active significance and negative factors.
