王闿运改制船山书院探析

摘    要:在晚清社会变革的历史场景下,王闿运致力于书院教育,其中尤以在船山书院的时间最长,前后长达二十余年,培育了一批英才。清末书院改学堂,船山书院在王闿运的主持下经历了"反对——应付——缓改"三步曲,其中除却王闿运本人的原因外,也有现实的客观因素。船山书院改制的过程和王闿运对于书院改制的态度对于我们理解近代学者在晚清所作的历史选择以及对中国教育由传统向现代过渡的认识有所启发。

Abstract:Under the history background of social evolution in the late Qing Dynasty, Wang Kaiyun dedicated to academy instruction, among which Chuanshan Academy was the longest one where many talented were cultivated during his instruction there more than twenty years. When the academy was changed into school in the late Qing Dynasty, Chuanshan Academy underwent trilogy of development such as objection, adaptation and suspension, which was not only influenced by Wang Kaiyun's individual subjective factors but also some realistic objective reasons. The paper overall reviews the whole procedure of Chuanshan Academy's reform and sums up Wang Kaiyun's attitudes toward it, which gives us inspiration to understand historical choices made by those scholars in China's modern times and Chinese education transformation from traditional to modern.
