Analysis of Jinyong's Annotation of Quanzhen Religion and Mayu from His Novels

Based on related historical and religious documents,and combined with Jinyong's specific swordsman fictions, this article analyzes one of the main founder of Quanzhen Religion, Mayu,and its main doctrines. It's concluded that Jinyong's works drew on real historical persons and events. Meanwhile, Mr. Jinyong enhances the liveliness that is specified in the swordsman fiction, based on the pith of main historical event and the characters. He also creats some exciting plots with the purpose to satisfy the need of having some highlights in the newspaper serial, namely "to combine rich imagination with perfect reason as far as possible".
