New Findings on Sima Xiangru

Sima Xiangru, an epoch-making scholar of the Han Dynasty, reached the brilliant heiqht of literature development. His heady concoctions were viewed as models for many followers. As to the political thought, he had declared that Confucianism should be put to govern the state, and the Confucian sages should be regarded as the hiqhest standards Dong Zhangshu, the famous Confucian student. In the realm of academic thoughts, he was also the founder of the school of worshipping Confucianism. In the field of literature, he was the creater of rhymed-prose in the Han Dynasty. As for the aesthetics, he was the initiater of the doctrine of "Beauty of the most beautiful"which became the trend in aesthetics during that period.
