论医学的人文精神

历史上医学是最具人文精神传统的一门科学,然而,随着现代医学技术的迅速发展,人们在享受医学技术提供服务的同时,却对医学的非人性化趋势提出越来越多的批评。文章认为在医学技术迅猛发展背景下兴起的技术至善主义是导致医学人文传统断裂的主要原因,然而,随着疾病谱的变化和医学模式的转换,医学需要人文关怀的呼声已开始被医学界重视。但是,人们也应当清醒地认识到,医学技术与人文关怀两者既不可或缺也不能相互替代,而需要保持一种平衡和必要的张力。

On Humanistic Spirit in Medicine

Medicine is a discipline with humanistic tradition in the history. However,the tradition is gradually disappearing due to the rising of power of medical technology. Even though people have enjoyed the health-care service deriving from modern medical technology,yet there is growing dissatisfaction with health care and more and more criticism of its tendency of non-humane. This paper points out a tendency arising from the incidence of modern medicine being interested in extending its technical prowess,with scant regard for ends and values,or even the individual sufferer. The humanistic spirit in medicine is resurrected because the change of diseases' pedigree and reconstruction of medical model. However,we should keep a clear head that both of the medical technology and humanistic spirit could not be absent or be replaced each other and they should have a balance.
