向达对整理中外关系史料的贡献

在研究中外关系史的过程中,向达十分重视资料的作用.他不仅搜辑、整理了流亡国外的大量史料,而且主持整理出版<中外交通史籍丛刊>和中非交通史料,校注有<西洋番国志>、<两种海道针经>和<郑和航海图>三部著作,为我国中外关系史研究开创了新的局面.

Xiang Da's Contributions to Sorting out Documents on Sino-Foreign Relations History

In his study of the history of Sino-foreign relations,Xiang Da laid special emphasis on the value of documents.He not only collected and sorted out a large quality of historical materials flowing into foreign countries,but also published A Series of Books on Sino-Foreign Communication History and historical materials about Sino-African communication,and annotated three works: A Record of Local Customs and Practices of Twenty Countries Which Were on the Route of Zheng He's Voyages,Two Guides to Sea Navigation Routes and A Detailed Map Describing the Route of Zheng He's Voyages,ushering in a new phase in China's of Sino-foreign relations history.
