严复佚文十五篇考释

本文对 1917年发表在北京《公言报》上的一组署名“地雷”的论文进行了考释 ,确认“地雷”就是严复的笔名 ,署名“地雷”的这组论文就是严复在晚年通信中所提到、但却一直未被研究者发现的文字。这组佚文的发现具有重要价值 ,它们不仅说明严复晚年并未脱离政治 ,仍在时刻关心着政局的发展并努力将自己的思考公开发表出来以影响当局和社会 ,而且从更深的层次上反映出近代中国人对世界的认识的变化及外交思想的成熟。

Fifteen Newly Discovered Articles Written by YAN Fu during World War I and Their Significance to the Academic Community

This paper examines a group of articles under the pseudonym of Di Lei or Mine in the daily newspaper of Gongyan Bao,suggesting that Di Lei was the pseudonym of YAN Fu,and that the group of articles under the name of Di Lei was those which YAN mentioned explicitly several times in his correspondence with XIONG Chun ru.This discovery is of great significance in that it indicates that YAN Fu did not withdraw from the practical political affairs in the last years of his life In the contrary,he concerned with the political situation and made all efforts to get his opinion published in order to influence the authorities and society. It also shows that modern Chinese understanding of the world and international relations was undergoing a deeper structural change.
