学习共同体视角下的EMP教师自主发展策略研究

摘    要:随着高等院校英语教育改革的深入,专门用途英语(ESP)教师自身素质的提高与发展愈发受到人们的关注和重视。医学学科的极其特殊性,使作为ESP分支之一的医学英语(EMP)的许多教师面临专业发展趋向上的巨大挑战。本文基于学习共同体这一理论视角探讨EMP教师自主发展策略,为该群体教师加强专业自主发展、提升教研实践水平提供理论指导。

Abstract:With the deepening reform of college English education,it is getting more and more important to enhance the quality of teachers of English for Specific Purposes( ESP). Owing to the particularity and specialization of medical discipline,many teachers from English for Medical Purpose( EMP),a branch of ESP,are confronted with great challenges on how to develop themselves professionally. Based on the theory of learning community( LC),the paper explores the strategies for EMP teachers' self-development,in an attempt to provide theoretical guidance for their self-development and consequent improvement of their teaching and research practice.
