基督教与近代以来的川康研究

近代以降，“民族学”作为独立学科地位的确立和发展，极大地促进了学人对边疆民族学的研究兴趣。随着日本侵华战争全面爆发、国府西迁，加之国民政府对后方建设的需要，为建设边疆而研究边疆成为一时之风气。中华基督教会全国总会顺应形势，于20世纪30年代末发起了边疆服务运动，在为川11康边胞提供各种服务的同时，也开展了包括宗教与民俗领域、医疗卫生、农业生计诸多方面的“边疆研究”活动。

Christianity and Research in the Regions of Sichuan- Xikang since China＇s Modern Times

The research of the frontier areas got more and more attention since China’s modern times.Ethnology and the establishment and development of its status as an independent subject,greatly promoted the research interests of experts on the frontier ethnology.A large number of scholars and academic organizations migrated westward since the west-movement of China’s central government followed by the full-scale invasion of Japan.The research of frontier areas became a fashion as it met the government’s demand of the construction of rear areas.Keeping up with this trend,the General Union of the Church of Christ in China launched the Frontier Service Campaign in the late 1930s.It not only provided various services for the frontier people,but also carried out a wide range of "frontier research" activities including investigations and studies in many aspects such as religion and folk customs,medical treatment and public health,agriculture and livelihood.The researches played a great role in promoting many works in the regions of Sichuan-Xikang besides its academic value.
