An Analysis of 'Do Nothing,Everything Is Done' from "Lao-tzu"
MO Chun_yu.An Analysis of 'Do Nothing,Everything Is Done' from "Lao-tzu"[J].Journal of Guangxi Teachers Education University,2004,25(3):144-146.

Abstract:The thought of "do nothing" in the book "Lao_tzu" does not simply mean "to accomplish nothing passively".From the famous dictum "Do nothing and everything is done",we know that "do nothing" is only a means while "every thing is done" is exactly the ultimate purpose,no matter whether it is concerned with philosophy, politics and attitudes towards life."Do nothing" is a phenomenon whereas "every thing is done"is the essence. Therefore,"Do nothing" is practically "to do every thing" actively. It is not aggressive action but rather a strategy of a retreat in order to advance, which is completely for the sake of "everything is done".
Keywords:Lao-tzu  Taoism  "do nothing"  "everything is done"
