论新媒体的社会责任与传播生态

新媒体的发展和普及对人类社会进程具有重大的推动作用。新媒体的社会责任功能在传播中严重缺失,令人担忧的文化单一性成为了新媒体传播的现实图景,而技术决定论已成为媒介社会发展的高调。如果新媒体传播缺失社会责任感,网络人继续无度膨胀,鼓吹媒介技术决定社会形态、决定人们的思维形式,那么人类和谐的媒介生态环境将会受到破坏,文化多样性也会消失,文化仅仅作为信息"全球化"工具而存在,成为技术现实的附庸,人们被技术奴役而失去智慧,人类在信息社会中迷失自我的"人生困境"和"生态危机"就可能出现。

On the Social Responsibility and the Dissemination Ecosystem of New Media

The development and popularization of new media makes an important role in promoting human society. The lack of social responsibility and cultural diversification in dissemination is becoming the reality in spreading of new media, and the technological determinism has become an essential part in the media development. This paper discusses the social responsibility and the ecological issues in dissemination of new media based on the classical theory of mass communication. The author presents the idea that if the network and media keeps the unrestrained expansion without so- cial responsibility and the social patterns are only determined by the technology, then the harmonious media environment and the cultural diversity would disappear. Additionally, human culture would only exist as a tool of technology for infor- mation ＂globalization＂, and people would be enslaved by the technology. Thus it will result in the loss of human thoughts in the information era, along the ＂life dilemma＂ and ＂ecological crisis＂.
