Contextual Factors and Adaptable Strategy in Uygur Translation of the Contents about Buddhism in Dream of the Red Chamber

The theory of Linguistic Adaptation formulated by Verschueren holds that the process of language use is the process of continual choice of language by the language users in light of communicative contexts.This paper,in light of the theory,probes in the strategies as reflected Uygur translation of the literary images of Buddhist culture in the novel and then proceeds to discuss the cultural connotations in translations.
