晚清小说理论变革中的中西比较语境考察

晚清小说理论变革是晚清“小说革界命”的重要助推器,理论家们普遍存中西比较视野,从文类、体例、题材、人物、情节、结构、思想内涵与审美风格等方面对中西小说进行了全方位比较,亦关注到中西作者观与读者观的差异。晚清理论家们的中西小说比较多零碎且立场有偏颇嫌疑,但他们自比较中获得了革新旧小说的动力与方法,最终促成中国小说和小说理论由古典向现代转型,是中国小说现代性变革中不可或缺的关键一环。

A Comparison of Novel Theory Changes in the Late Qing Dynasty in the Chinese and Western Contexts

The change of the novel theory in the Late Qing Dynasty is one of the most important boosters for Novel revolution during the period. A comparison between Chinese and western perspectives is common in the theoretical circle, in terms of genre, style, theme, Character, plot, structure, content, aesthetic style, value propositions, readers and authors.
