| Abstract: | Jangar is one of the three major epics in China. It is billed as an encyclopedia of ancient Oirat people and is of great literary value. Myth and Archetypal Criticism is employed to highlight the significance of Jangar. It is argued that the myths and archetypes in Jangar act as justifications for the literary theory and mirror the similarities between the oriental and occidental cultures. |
