从文化影响看译者对唐诗意象的英译——以庞德、韦利和许渊冲的译作为例

唐诗是世界文学大花园中绚丽夺目的奇葩,所以唐诗英译既是中西文化交流的需要,也是国内外翻译界的追求。而译诗即译意象,所以唐诗意象的英译直接影响原诗内涵的传达。通过学习与分析国内外翻译名家庞德、韦利、和许渊冲的译作来研究中西文化差异导致的思维差异在对文化意象转译中的表现,进而总结译者的翻译风格,能为今后的唐诗意象英译工作提供帮助,也能更好的在世界范围内弘扬中国文学与文化。

Image Translation of Tang Poetry from the Perspective of Cultural Influence——Based on Pound＇s,Waley＇s and Xu Yuanzhong＇s Translation

Tang Poetry is an exotic flower in the world literary garden,so to translate Tang poetry into English is not only the demand for cultural communication between China and western countries,but also the pursuit in translation circles.The elite of poetic translation is to translate images,so image translation directly affects the conveyance of original connotation of a poem.Study and analyzing Pound＇s,Waley＇s and Xu Yuanzhong＇s translation works helps to discover their thinking difference in cultural-image translation under different culture,and to conclude their translation styles,which are helpful for further image translation study and better carrying forward Chinese literature and culture to the world.
