语言顺应论对翻译的启示

语言顺应论是一个极富解释力和适应性的理论,它对翻译理论研究有很强的借鉴作用.顺应论认为顺应性是人类语言的重要特征之一,语言顺应性主要涉及语境关系顺应、结构客体顺应、顺应的动态性和顺应过程的意识突显四个方面.翻译是一个根据语境不断进行顺应性选择的动态的过程,译者在翻译过程中必须考虑对译语语境以及译文的语言结构的顺应.翻译活动既受到所处的语言内部和外部环境的制约又不断改变着其所在环境,因而翻译永远处于动态的变化过程之中,具有协商性.

The Enlightenment of Adaptation Theory to Translation

The Adaptation Theory is a highly adaptable theory,from which the study of translation may draw a lot of insight.According to the Adaptation Theory,adaptability is a basic feature of human language,which involves the four aspects of investigation: contextual correlates of adaptability,structural objects of adaptability,and dynamics of adaptability and salience of the adaptability process.Translation is a continuous,dynamic process of choice in language that adapts to the context.An interpreter should take into consideration the adaptation to context and structural objects of the target language in his choice of words.Translation practice not only is restrained by the linguistic and external environment but also alters the environment of itself,thus making translation an ever-changing and negotiable practice.
