社会科学研究的价值立场不应仅限于是否坚持价值中立的争论，而应扩展思维，从社会科学本身的学科性质入手，在广阔的问题论域中把握社会科学研究的多元价值观。社会科学研究的多元传统决定了价值立场的多样性，实证主义倡导价值中立，人本主义主张价值理解与价值判断，批判主义更是力求价值批判与革新。社会科学的客观性、规律性和可检验性等科学性质决定了在研究规范层面坚持价值中立的必要性。社会科学研究特有的主体间性以及主、客体的情感性、价值性要求价值关联的涉入。同时，社会科学的实践性强调对人类生活和社会价值的引导．使社会科学做到求真、求实与求善、求美的和谐统一。
